Contour and Detail Surveys in Penrith
Contour and detail surveys throughout Penrith and the Western Sydney growth corridor, from new release estates to flood-affected riverside land.

Local Knowledge
Penrith sits on the flat Cumberland Plain, with much of the land easily developed. Properties near the Nepean River and its tributaries are subject to flood planning, where accurate AHD ground levels are critical for design and approval.
Rural-residential blocks on the edge of the corridor are a different job again: bigger parcels, existing sheds and dams, and access that has to be designed before any lot can be created.
We work throughout Kingswood, Emu Plains, Jamisontown and the wider Greater Western Sydney area.
Council Requirements
Penrith City Council requires current detail and level surveys for development applications, with strict flood-planning requirements for land near the Nepean River. Survey plans must reference Australian Height Datum and clearly show ground levels relative to flood-planning levels. Our plans arrive council-ready.
On larger blocks the council wants levels across the whole parcel, not just near the house, so the site can be graded and drained.
Property Types
New housing estates, riverside properties, rural-residential blocks, commercial developments.
FAQs
Do I need a flood study near the Nepean River?
Often, yes. Your contour survey records the AHD levels a flood assessment is built on, and we will tell you straight if your block needs one.
Are contour surveys needed on flat blocks?
Yes. Council still requires accurate levels for drainage and stormwater design, even on the flattest part of the Cumberland Plain.
What does a survey of a rural-residential block show?
Existing levels across the full parcel plus sheds, dams, tracks and services, which is what your designer and engineer work from.
